Obec Hodejovec s 210 obyvateľmi leží učupená medzi kopcami Cerovej vrchoviny. Rozloha katastra je 1113 ha. V prvej písomnej zmienke z roku 1427 sa obec spomína pod názvom Keregede. Dlhé roky patrila hajnáčskemu hradnému panstvu. Jej dominantou je rímskokatolícky Kostol sv. Martina biskupa z roku 1737 a klasicisticky prestavaný v roku 1836. Na väčšej časti územia katastra sa pestujú poľnohospodárske plodiny. Ten takmer celý spadá do územia chránenej oblasti Cerová vrchovina. Územie Hodejovca je vhodné na podnikanie v oblasti agroturistiky a zaujímavé pre turistov, či hubárov.

The village Hodejovec with 210 inhabitants is located squat between the hills of Cerová vrchovina. Dimension of the area is 1113 ha. In the first written mention from 1427 the village is noticed under the name Keregede. It belonged to Hajnáčka castle county. Dominant of village is the Roman – Catholic church of Saint Martin the Bishop from 1737 and it was rebuilt in classicistic style in 1836. The majority of the village´s area is used for farming of agricultural crops. Almost the whole area comes under the protected zone Cerová vrchovina. The area of Hodejovec is suitable for business in agrotourism and it is interesting for hikers and mushroom pickers.

Das Dorf Hodejovec mit 210 Einwohner schmiegt sich zwischen den Bergen des Hügellandes Cerová vrchovina. Die Fläche des Katasters beträgt 1113 Ha. In der ersten schriftlichen Erwähnung aus dem Jahre 1427 wurde das Dorf unter Name Keregede erwähnt. Langen Jahren gehörte es der Hajnačske Burgherrschaft. Die Dominante bildet die römisch-katholische Kirche st. Biskupa aus dem Jahre 1737 die im Jahre 1836 klassizistisch umgebaut wurde. Auf dem größeren Teil der Flache des Katasters werden landwirtschaftliche Feldfrüchte angebaut. Fast der ganze Kataster befindet sich in dem Landschaftsschutzgebiet Cerová vrchovina. Das Gebiet Hodejovec eignet sich für Unternehmen im Raum Agrotouristik und ist für den Touristen und Pilzessammler interessant.
